If you have been to our location then you most likely have seen the guy in the hat– Abbas Khechfe! Abbas started his Taco Inn career in 1982 at the original location, located across from The University of Nebraska’s campus on the corner of 13th and R Street. Abbas was attending UNL at the time and this was the perfect location for going to school and working. After graduating, Abbas continued with Taco Inn, working at various locations before landing at the South 48th Street store.

Now, the owner and operator of the 48th Street store, Abbas’ goal has always been to work hard to provide his customers with a positive experience. Being in the Union College neighborhood, many personal relationships with loyal customers have endured throughout the years. It is with sincere appreciation to these customers, and to those traveling up and down 48th Street, and throughout, that Abbas is truly thankful.
